Aproveitado esta vaga de temas ambientais novos para os novos splits de 2018, venho apresentar-vos mais este tema, 'As Ninfas do Tejo (Suite Medievale ; Opus II)', que vai ser usado no split de Antiquus Scriptum & Art imperial (Bra), "A Última Batalha", que também ele é influenciado por uma lenda lusitana, neste caso sobre as Tágides, as Ninfas do Tejo, e também ele composto e gentilmente cedido a Antiquus Scriptum pelo Ewan, de Art imperial, a quem eu estou eternamente grato (y) Um tema muito medieval, a condizer com o título e naturalmente com a própria lenda e poderão encontra-lo muito em breve no split, "A Última Batalha", a ser editado em formato digibook pela alemã Wolfmond Production, limitado a 150 cópias. Greetings from the Valley of Guadalquivir! Taking advantage of this wave of new ambiental themes for the new splits of 2018, I shall introduce ye to this theme, 'As Ninfas do Tejo (Suite Medievale ; Opus II)' **The Nymphs of the Tagus (Medieval Suite, Opus II)**, which will be used in the split of Antiquus Scriptum & Art imperial (Bra), "A Última Batalha" (The Last Battle), which is also influenced by a Lusitanian tale, in this case on the Tides, the Nymphs of the Tagus, and was also composed and kindly ceded to Antiquus Scriptum by Ewan, of Art imperial, whom I'm eternally grateful (y) A very medieval song, to match with the title and of course with the tale, itself, that you may find it very soon in the split, "A Última Batalha", to be released in digibook format by the German Wolfmond Production, limited to 150 copies. "Ophiussa : A Terra das Serpentes (Adagio Ancestrale ; Opus I)"

Ancestrais Saudações, caros amigos! Venho nesta tarde cinzenta de Novembro, para vos dar a conhecer 1 dos temas ambientais novos que aparecerão nos splits de 2018, de Antiquus Scriptum, este tema mais propriamente para o split com Art imperial, do Brasil, "A Última Batalha", a sair em digibook, lá mais para Março / Abril, de 2018, pela alemã Wolfmond Production... Pois foi precisamente o Ewan, de Art imperial, o criador da peça musical que podem ouvir aqui, e eu estive a par do conceito, samples e produção do tema. 

Este interlúdio ambiental é sobre a antiga lenda de Ofiúsa, a Terra das Serpentes, 1º nome dado à Lusitânia, no tempo de Viriato, há 2.000 annos atrás, aquando das invasões romanas... Dizia-se que o Deus do vento, Zéfirus, fecundava as éguas lusitanas, por isso elas eram tão rápidas quanto o próprio vento e que o nome de 'Ofiúsa', remete-se a um povo bárbaro que se chamavam os Ofis, que, dizem uns, moravam entre o Gerês, Trás os Montes e a Galiza, enquanto outros juram que eles são da foz do rio Douro. De um modo ou de outro, os Ofis eram famosos pelo facto de idolatrarem as serpentes, por isso é que se chamava 'Ofiússa', que significava 'Terra das Serpentes', daí o símbolo dos Reis de Portugal ter sido uma serpente alada, a 'Serpe Real'; no entanto, esse símbolo também surgiu por influência celta... Outras lendas dizem que Ofiúsa, era uma terrível rainha que reinava por aqui, de um poder de sedução imenso e atraía os homens para o seu leito de perdição, até que Ulisses veio pôr termo a isso, etc, etc, etc... São muitas e ricas as lendas sobre este pedacinho de terra, a Lusitânia, e agradeço imenso ao Ewan, de Art imperial, por me ter cedido esta excelente peça musical a a todos vocês que vêem este video. Ancestral Greetings, dear friends! I come in this grey November afternoon, to introduce ye to 1 of the new ambiental themes that will appear in the splits of 2018, of Antiquus Scriptum, this theme more properly for the split with Art imperial, from Brazil, "A Última Batalha (The Last Battle)", to be released in digibook format, there for March / April, 2018, by the German Wolfmond Production... Well, it was even Ewan, from Art imperial, whom created the piece of music you can listen here, and I was aware of the concept, samples and production of this theme.

This ambiental interlude is about the ancient tale of Ophiusa, the Land of Serpents, the first name given to Lusitania in the time of Viriato, 2,000 years ago, during the Roman invasions... It was said that the God of the wind, Zephyrous, fecundated the Lusitanian mares, so they were as fast as the wind itself and that the name of 'Ophiusa' refers to a barbarian people called the Ofis, who, some say, lived among Gerês, Trás os Montes and Galicia, while others swear that they are from the mouth of the Douro River. In one way or another, the Ofis were famous for idolatrying the serpents, which is why it was called 'Ofiússa', which meant 'Land of the Serpents', hence the symbol of the Kings of Portugal being a winged serpent, the 'Real Serpe'; however, this symbol also arose by Celtic influence, as well... Other tales say that Ophiusa was a terrible queen who ruled here, with an immense power of seduction and drew men to her bed of perdition, until Ulysses came to put an end on this, etc, et, etc... There are many and rich tales about this little piece of land, Lusitania, and I am very grateful to Ewan, of Art imperial, for offering me this excellent musical piece and to all of ye whom see this video. Saudações, Demónios das Profundezas \m/ Deixo-vos aqui hoje com a novíssima versão do clássico, "Russians", de 1985, do Sr. Sting (O Gigante), da qual fizemos esta versão para Antiquus Scriptum (que também disponibilizo a título promocional em download) e que figurará já no início de Setembro no lançamento físico em digibook da alemã Wolfmond Production, e que se chamará: 'O Vale de Guadalquivir'. 

Quero agradecer em particular ao Gustavo Vieira, ao Paulo Vieira e também ao Ricardo Vieira, por todo o auxílio e dedicação prestados a este tema. I want to thank in particular to Gustavo Vieira, Paulo Vieira and Ricardo Vieira, for all the help and dedication they have given to this theme. The Pesttanz Klangschmiede will reissue early February the first album of Antiquus Scriptum, "Abi In Malam Pestem", recorded during 2001 and 2002 and brings as bonus the first demo "In Pulverem Reverteris" released in tape format in May 2000. 1.000 copies jewel case + 100 copies deluxe digipak format will come and so I leave ye by way of note, and to the generations of the XXI century, this "Of Dying Seasons (The Cursed Ones)", which is not more than a reflection by the modern times and what the man has done for our mother earth... A reflection in the turn of the century,
