"ANTIQUUS SCRIPTUM belong to the rare selection of bands which are
recognizable immediately. Mainly because of the distinctive clear vocals, but
also because of the rousing songwriting. The basic style is groovy and catchy,
but also full of nice details and unique sounds. This special symphonic thrash
death whatsoever mixture leaves me always back in very good temper. A quite
strange effect of metal like this, but a nice one :-) If you are looking for something really
peculiar, check it! Favorite track: A Moment Of Clarity."

Saudações, da Ilha do Rei Lagarto \m/ Passo só para informar os meus amigos que as vozes para o próximo longa duração de Antiquus Scriptum, "Imaginarium", com data prevista de edição para o início de 2017, foram gravadas com êxito entre o fim de semana passado e este, nos estúdios Mosh Pit, do meu amigo Paulo Vieira, produtor do disco e músico participante. Correu tudo sobre rodas, sacamos um registo agressivíssimo, bem na linha de Antiquus e atrevemos-nos a fazer uma cover deste épico imortal de Running Wild, "Raise Your Fist", que ficou muita nice, até... :D Não posso deixar de agradecer ao Paulo Vieira, Gustavo Vieira e Ricardo Vieira pela preciosa ajuda que têm dado neste disco e agora vamos passar ao teclado, solos e arranjos. Vão ser mais 4 meses árduos de intenso trabalho para o CD estar cá fora em Janeiro de 2017, mas se os deuses lusos da guerra e da iniquidade quiserem, vamos conseguir!... ;) Grande abraço a todos! Vocals for the "Imaginarium" album recorded!!
Greetings from the Island of the Lizard King \m/ I step just to tell my friends that the vocals for the next full-length album of Antiquus Scriptum, "Imaginarium", with an expected release date for the beginning of 2017, were recorded successfully between last weekend and this one, at the Mosh Pit Studios, of my friend Paulo Vieira, producer and participant musician. Everything ran on wheels, we drew an ultra aggressive vocal line, well in the vein of Antiquus and we dare to do a cover of this immortal epic of Running Wild, "Raise Your Fist", which got pretty nice, too... :D I shall thank to Paulo Vieira, Gustavo Vieira and Ricardo Vieira for the invaluable help they are giving in this record and now we go foward with the keyboard composition, solos and arrangements. Shall be more arduous four months of intense work for the CD to be out there in January 2017, but if the Lusitanian gods of war and iniquity want so, we will make it... ;) Big hug to all! Saudações da Masmorra Infernal \m/ É com prazer que aqui venho informar que a cover de Darkthrone, "Transilvanian Hunger", que Antiquus Scriptum está a gravar de momento para o próximo full-length album, "Imaginarium", terá a contribuição vocal do Hugo Andremon, de The Sorcerer, que já passou por projectos como os Grog, Filii Nigrantium Infernalium, ou Simbiose, etc... As vozes estão a ser gravadas desde há uma semana para cá nos estúdios Mosh Pit, do meu amigo Paulo Vieira, e está tudo a correr sobre rodas e a participação do Andremon só vai consolidar o magnífico trabalho que tem estado a ser feito neste disco pelos músicos participantes (o meu agradecimento especial ao Ricardo Viera, também). Greetings from the Infernal Dungeon \m/ It's with great pleasure that I come to inform ye that the cover of Darkthrone, "Transilvanian Hunger", which Antiquus Scriptum is recording at the time for the next full-length album, "Imaginarium", shall have the vocal contribution of Hugo Andremon of The Sorcerer, whom has been through projects such as Grog, Filii Nigrantium Infernalium, or Simbiose, etc... Passo só para informar o pessoal que segue as actividades dos meus humildes Antiquus Scriptum, que as sessões de gravação das 2 guitarras eléctricas para o próximo álbum "Imaginarium", foram concluídas durante esta semana nos Mosh Pit Studios, do meu amigo Paulo Vieira. Gostava muito de vos deixar aqui um pequeno exemplo, mas tive de formatar o meu computador há uns dias e estou com dificuldades em re-instalar o Movie Maker, que uso para fazer os clips ou demonstrações... '-_- De qualquer modo aqui fica o update. Vou agora passar ao baixo e já estou a invocar o espírito Dan Lilker que há dentro de mim... :3 Obrigado pela atenção e fiquem bem! I step only to inform the folks that follow the activities of my humble Antiquus Scriptum, that the recording sessions of the 2 electric guitars for the next album, "Imaginarium", were completed this week at the Mosh Pit Studios, of my friend Paulo Vieira. I would like to leave here a small example, but I had to format my computer a few days ago and I'm struggling to re-install the Movie Maker, that I normally use to make clips or demonstrations... '-_- Anyway, here's the update. I will pass now to the bass guitar and I'm invoking already my Dan Lilker spirit that is within me... :3 Thank you for your attention and farewell! Estou a sacar esta cover... A bateria já foi gravada hoje entre as 6 e as 8 da manhã, numa noite insana de insónia e inspiração... Agora estou a sacar a guitarra e espero te-la pronta antes da Páscoa. Sempre adorei esta malha, "The Fifth Illusion", do álbum "Non Serviam", de Rotting Christ. Basta ser do anno dourado de 1994... Tempos mágicos da erupção do Black Metal a nível mundial em que se fizeram excelentes hinos pagãos, este é um deles... Está-me a dar uma pica imensa trabalhar nesta cover, até porque é a última malha do disco, pois todo o álbum está escrito. Pode-se dizer que Antiquus Scriptum já está oficialmente em estúdio, pois as baterias já foram quase todas gravadas e a 1ª guitarra também, a diferença é que pela 1ª vez na história entrei em estúdio para gravar ao mesmo tempo que ia compondo os temas, isto graças à amabilidade do meu amigo de longa data e velho irmão de armas, Paulo Vieira (Paulão) que me abriu as portas do seu Mosh Pit para esse efeito, logo desde o 1º tema composto. I'm making this cover... The drums has been already recorded today between 6 and 8 am, in an insane night of insomnia and inspiration... I'm now making the guitar and I hope to have it ready before Easter. I've always loved this song, "The Fifth Illusion", from the album "Non Serviam", of Rotting Christ. Just be from golden year of 1994... Magical times of the eruption of Black Metal around the world and have been made great pagan hymns, this is one of them... Is giving me a huge joy to work on this cover, even because it is the last song of the record since the entire album is written. It can be said that Antiquus Scriptum is already officially in studio, since the drums were almost all recorded and the 1st guitar as well, the difference is that for the 1st time in history I went into studio to record while going composing the themes, this thanks to the kindness of my longtime friend and brother in arms, Paulo Vieira (Paulão) whom opened me the doors of his Mosh Pit to this effect, right after the 1st theme got compound.
