Saudações dos Domínios Antigos! A Dupla Tape da compilação, "... Outrora, Quando As Águas Choravam..." (Parte I & II), de Antiquus Scriptum, está finalmente cá fora através da lusitana Satanhades Productions, ou não fosse este selo nacional datado de meados dos gloriosos annos 90 e gerido pelos 2 Guardiões do Graal, Paulo Mira & Carlos Fernandes (ex-Celtic Dance), Arkenstone, que andam nisto há mais de 20 Invernos, sempre com um empenho e uma dedicação indubitáveis! Bebi umas fresquinhas com eles no Cais Sodré, ontem, e além de rever e pôr a conversa em dia com estes 2 velhos guerreiros do Black Metal nacional, ainda pude trazer esta obra de arte, editada por eles, em 2 cassetes lindíssimas, como podem ver, que são limitadas a 100 cópias (de cada). As Tapes são ultra-profissionais, timbradas, com fita Chrome Dioxide II, impressas na Edisco, no Porto, e custam 10€ as 2 (5€ cada) + portes. ***!!Este artigo só é vendido em conjunto!!*** 

Esta compilação dupla, é uma retrospectiva dos primeiros 18 annos (!) de existência de Antiquus Scriptum, reunindo os melhores temas (originais) do projecto e incluindo 5 temas inéditos gravados mais recentemente. Teve edição em CD Duplo limitado a 666 cópias em Fevereiro último pela alemã Pesttanz Klangschmiede e pela espanhola Negra Nit Distro e sai agora em versão tape, também, por este afoito selo nacional.

Greetings from Olden Domains! The Double Tape of the compilation, "... Outrora, Quando As Águas Choravam..." (... Once, When Waters Wept...) (Part I & II), of Antiquus Scriptum, is finally out there through the Lusitanian Satanhades Productions, or were not this Portuguese seal dating from the middle of the glorious 90's and managed by the 2 Guardians of the Graal, Paulo Mira & Carlos Fernandes (ex-Celtic Dance), Arkenstone, whom walk this path for more than 20 Winters, always with full commitment and an undoubted dedication! I drank a few beers with them in Cais Sodré, Lisbon, yesterday, and besides review them and put the conversation in day with these 2 old warriors of the Lusitanian Black Metal, I even could bring this pieces of art, release by them, in 2 gorgeous tapes, as you can see, that are limited to 100 copies (each). The Tapes are ultra professional, stamped, tape Chrome Dioxide II, printed in Edisco, Porto, and cost 10€ both (5€ each) + shipping. ***!!This article is only sold together!!*** 

This double compilation, is a retrospective of the first 18 years (!) of the existence of Antiquus Scriptum, bringing together the best (original) themes of the project and including 5 unreleased songs recorded recently. Had Double CD edition limited to 666 copies in last February by the German Pesttanz Klangschmiede and the Spanish Negra Nit Distro and is out now on tape version, as well, through this reckless national seal.

“... Outrora, Quando As Águas Choravam...” Double CD review by DutchMetalManiac!!

"Antiquus Scriptum is a band from Portugal. They play a mixture of pagan black, viking and folk metal. This 2CD album is released on 2 february.

This album starts with fast paced riffs you can hardly tell which instruments they are. The vocals keeps it together with folk rhythms. The most songs on this album are above the 8 min.. The song "Zagallos, Jardim De Falácias" is a quiet song from 1,27 minutes. Birds are singing and you suddenly feel this is a different album you are listening to. "Procemium / A Viking Belief" is the longest song of the first CD, 16,41 minutes. The song starts off with some drums and little guitars. By the 3 minute mark the song speeds up and keeps going to around 4,28 which is a long intro for a song. It's a nice difference from the darkness of the most songs. This was the first CD on to the second one.

The first song on the second CD begins with a flute and drums, sometimes they say "Hey". Its a very happy song that let you think of the Folk music. "Remember Me As King" is a song that starts not so rough as the others, more melodic. I like that the music has 2 stages from begin to middle and middle to the end, it's like 2-3 seperate songs. "Primordium / The Skeptic Beholder" is the longest song on this whole album, 17,16 minutes long. It starts very dark and fast paced, the riffs are well balanced. The vocals are a bit screamy to make it more dark. This long song doesn't change from music like some other songs do. It's a song that keeps your attention. The last song of this 2 CD album is "The Cold Lips Of Isabelle (Conclusio Lugubris)" which starts with piano music and ends off with a sound like clapping. Good ending song for this 2CD album.

If you like epic, pagan black, viking and folk metal, this would be a CD for you, you never get bored on this album."

Saudações, Feiticeiros das Neves! Saiu precisamente hoje, dia 2 de Fevereiro de 2016, (finalmente!), o Duplo CD de Antiquus Scriptum, "... Outrora, Quando As Águas Choravam...", lançado em comunhão pela espanhola Negra Nit distro e a alemã Pesttanz Klangschmiede. Relembro que este trabalho é um CD / Compilação que é lançado em jeito de comemoração dos já longos 18 annos de carreira de Antiquus Sriptum e inclui os melhores temas do projecto desde a primeira demo de 2000, "In Pulverem Reverteris", até ao último álbum de originais, o "Ars Longa, Vita Brevis...", de 2013, contando com 5 (!) malhas novas, gravadas propositadamente para este Duplo CD. O disco custa 15€ + 1€ de portes (nacionais) e quem tiver interesse neste trabalho, pode enviar mensagem privada para mim directamente, ou para a caixa de entrada do FB de Antiquus Scriptum, ou ainda escrever para: antiquus_scriptum@yahoo.com.

Once, When Waters Wept...), released in communion by the Spanish Negra Nit distro and the German Pesttanz Klangschmiede. I remind ye that this work is a CD / Compilation released in celebration way of the already long 18 years of Antiquus Sriptum career and includes the best themes of the project since the first demo of 2000, "In Pulverem Reverteris", until the last original album, the "Ars Longa, Vita Brevis..." from 2013, with 5 (!) new tracks, purposely recorded for this double CD. * The CD actually has come out officially today, but I have to wait until Friday, or even Monday next week to have the CD in hands. Saudações do Jardim das Falácias! Este tema não será certamente novidade para alguns, pelo menos para aquele pessoal mais chegado ao projecto, mas será com certeza novidade para muitos não tão familiares aos apelos de Antiquus Scriptum... É um novo tema interlúdio, totalmente composto em cravo e agora finalizado pelo meu amigo Ricardo Vieira (R.V.), e produzido pelo seu irmão e meu velho amigo também, Paulo Vieira (Nyx Sludgedweller), produtor e habitual músico convidado em Antiquus Scriptum, a que baptizei de "Zagallos, Jardim De Falácias (Antifona Moderata ; Movimento II)". O jardim dos Zagallos existe na realidade e fica algures aqui na margem sul, sendo este um dos meus santuários de meditação e onde já passei e passo muito bons momentos de reflexão. É um solar pós-renascentista e a sua construção remonta ao século XVIII, sendo mandado construir em honra do rei D. João VI. É um jardim de uma beleza imensa, onde já tive experiências de amor, ódio, calma, paz, revolta e dor e até mesmo onde um amigo meu já pôs termo à sua vida enforcando-se numa das centenárias árvores deste jardim... Para ele e para todos vós, aqui fica este "Zagallos, Jardim De Falácias (Antifona Moderata ; Movimento II)", que figurará pela 1ª vez em CD no próximo lançamento, "... Antiquus Scriptum: "Zagallos, Jardim De Falácias (Antifona Moderata ; Movimento II)"

Greetings from the Garden of Fallacies! This theme will certainly not be new to some, at least for the ones closest to the project, but will certainly be new to many not so familiar to the Antiquus Scriptum's appeals... It's a new interlude theme, composed entirely in harpsichord and now finished by my friend Ricardo Vieira (R.V.), and produced by his brother and also my old friend, Paulo Vieira (Nyx Sludgedweller), producer and regular guest musician in Antiquus Scriptum, which I baptized of "Zagallos, Jardim De Falácias (Antifona Moderata ; Movimento II)" = "Zagallos, Garden Of Fallacies (Antifona Moderata ; Moviment II)". The Garden of Zagallos does really exists and is somewhere here on the south bank, which is one of my meditation shrines and where've been very good times and spend a lot of reflection. It is a post-Renaissance manor and its construction dates back to the XVIII century, and had built in honor of King D. João VI. It is a garden of an immense beauty where I had experiences of love, hate, calm, peace, anger and pain and even where a friend of mine has ended his life hanging himself in one of the ancient trees of this garden... To him and all of ye, here is this "Zagallos, Jardim De Falácias (Antifona Moderata ; Movimento II)", which shall figure for the 1st time on CD in the next release, "... Outrora, Quando As Águas Choravam..." (... Once, When Waters Wept...), to be unleashed in January 2016 by the German label Pesttanz Klangschmiede, in communion with the Spanish Negra Nit Distro and limited to 666 copies in a double professional CD. Outrora, Quando As Águas Choravam...", feito também este pelo Ricardo Vieira (R.V.) em piano e produzido pelo seu irmão Paulo Vieira (Nyx Sludgedweller), produtor e habitual músico convidado em Antiquus Scriptum. Intitula-se: "Atlântica (Adagio In Lacrime ; Movimento III)" e é dedicado a esses mares nunca dantes navegados de outrora e às antigas proezas lusitanas do período das descobertas, em 1500. Este tema figurará, como já disse, pela 1ª vez em CD no próximo lançamento, "... Outrora, Quando As Águas Choravam...", a ser editado em Janeiro de 2016 pela editora alemã Pesttanz Klangschmiede​, em parceria com a espanhola Negra Nit distro​ e limitado a 666 cópias num Duplo CD profissional. Is entitled: "Atlântica (Adagio In Lacrime ; Movimento III)" and is dedicated to these uncharted waters of old and to the ancient Lusitanian prowess of the period of the sea discoveries, in 1500. Venho hoje nesta outonal noite de Dezembro, como muito gosto, claro está, apresentar-vos o novíssimo tema interlúdio, "Tertúlia Das Bruxas Dançantes (Adagio Allegro ; Movimento IV)", feito na íntegra pelo meu amigo de longa data e companheiro de armas, Ricardo Vieira (R.V.), e produzido pelo seu irmão e meu velho amigo também, Paulo Vieira (Nyx Sludgedweller), produtor e habitual músico convidado em Antiquus Scriptum. Este tema é totalmente acústico, não há midis aqui, e foi totalmente composto e gravado pelo Ricardo Vieira utilizado instrumentos Folk como a flauta, jambé, viola acústica, pandeireta e shakers. I am here today on this autumnal night of December, with pleasure, of course, to present ye the brand new interlude theme, "Tertúlia Das Bruxas Dançantes (Adagio Allegro ; Movimento IV)" = "Tertulia Of The Dancing Witches (Adagio Allegro ; Moviment IV)", fully made by my longtime friend and companion in arms, Ricardo Vieira (R.V.), and produced by his brother and also my old friend, Paulo Vieira (Nyx Sludgedweller), producer and regular guest musician in Antiquus Scriptum. This theme is completely acoustic, there are no midis here, and was totally written and recorded by Ricardo Vieira using Folk instruments like flute, jambe, acoustic guitar, tambourine and shakers. Theme that shall for the 1st time figure on CD in the next release, "... Outrora, Quando As Águas Choravam..." (... Once, When Waters Wept...)", to be release in January 2016 by the German label Pesttanz Klangschmiede, in communion with the Spanish Negra Nit Distro and limited to 666 copies. Once, When Waters Wept...), to be released on double CD in January 2016 by the German label Pesttanz Klangschmiede, in collaboration with the Spanish Negra Nit Distro and limited to 666 copies, will also have a tape edition through the Portuguese Satanhades Productions. It will be a Pro Double Tape limited to 100 copies (of each) and there's still no concrete month foreseen for the edition for this release, but the label ensures that it shall be as soon as possible during the forthcoming year of 2016.
